TAMPA, FL—World of Beer (WOB), a thriving beer-centric tavern boasting an extensive collection of brews from around the globe, is excited to announce a partnership with Samuel Adams, the classic American brewery, beginning July 1st. This celebrates the legacy and culture of Samuel Adams as an American brand, with WOB locations participating nationwide in the ‘Great American Beer-Cation.’ The program will continue the entire month of July.

Participating locations will offer eight specially selected beers from the Samuel Adams portfolio. Loyalty members will be given a punch card and, after trying the different brews, will be entered to win a trip for two to the Great American Beer Festival. The winner will be announced Friday, Aug. 9th.

“Samuel Adams is a great brand, bringing so much to the American craft beer culture,” said Beth Tierney, Director of Marketing at World of Beer Franchising, Inc. “To partner with them is an honor, and to provide loyalty members with this opportunity is just as exciting.”

World of Beer admires the passion and culture that Samuel Adams has established since its inception in 1984. The culture of Samuel Adams has been unwavering, and their signature Boston Lager® is a household name in American beer.

The Great American Beer Festival was founded in 1982 and has grown ever since. It represents the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served, in a public tasting event and private competition. The event will take place Oct. 10 - Oct. 12 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.

The ‘WOB Culture’ is unlike any other. The specially trained staff completes an extensive, two-week beer school, and is on-hand to guide customers through the World of Beer experience centered around a global menu of beverages, live music and televised sports.

WOB rewards customers by offering a Loyalty Club Program enabling them to earn points on trying different brews. Customers earn one point for every different beer purchased, gaining them access, appreciation and rewards. The program is available to all patrons, and is easily accessible through the app (available for iPhone and Android smartphones). It’s the WOB culture in the palm of your hand.

WOB was founded in Tampa, FL in 2007. Taverns are currently open at 44 locations in 14 states (FL, AL, VA, TX, WI, OH, IL, NC, GA, AZ, CO, MI, SC and WA). Locations to follow are Denver, CO and Brandon, FL.

Samuel Adams Latitude 48 https://allaboutbeer.net/learn-beer/reviews/staff-reviews/2011/06/samuel-adams-latitude-48/ https://allaboutbeer.net/learn-beer/reviews/staff-reviews/2011/06/samuel-adams-latitude-48/#comments Tue, 21 Jun 2011 14:08:37 +0000 Daniel Bradford https://allaboutbeer.net/?p=21405 I had to laugh when I pulled this treat out of the beer fridge.  The master of the German lager, the brewery that carried the craft beer revolution into places it hadn’t seen, the guys that taught the world about noble hops, and here they are bringing out a contender for the extremely popular IPA category.

Of course, they took their own slant.

Draw a line around the world through the best hop growing regions of the world and you’re looking at the 48th latitude.  Imagine bringing together the earthy English hops with the spicy, resiny German hops and the citrusy flavors of American hops and you’ve got the backbone of Latitude 48.  Of course there are some slight caramel notes from the malt to put the hops in context.  I must say, I’m sorry I didn’t have a Boston Lager beside it, because this fantastic IPA stilled seemed a pour cousin to the lager.  Then again, I was chowing down on this weird attempt at making collards from my garden edible. Difficult for this New England Yankee.
