The bright yellow liquid is not unlike mainstream lagers in appearance, but for the rocky off-white head. Subtle but fine hop character on the nose introduces the drinkers to a session ale; easy to drink, clean on the palate and in the aftertaste, but contrary to the name, one that is likely to evoke homesickness for Austin rather than London. We were homesick for Texas ribs so we treated ourselves to a rack of baby backs, sweet baked beans, kim chi coles law, and finished with sweet potato pie and a can of Homesick Ale. Who says “you can’t go home again”?

Authentic unfiltered real ale haze. Wispy head retention. Astoundingly fresh sweet-honey-floral aroma, combo of hops and malt. One of the most pleasant aromas ever to come out of beer. Hoppy flavors are mild but well stated. Ever so slight butterscotch is terrifically complementary. Balance. Perfection. Fresh session beer. I never had real ale this good in London! Super. This is a destination beer. Get your ass in gear and go get this. Hop bitterness lingers, but makes way for continued enjoyment. Gorgeous beer.
