Bright gold with greenish highlights, topped with a classy off-white head. The nose is all about hops: spicy hops, floral hops, and citrusy hops, and then more hops. I like it! There is a fine sweetness on the palate as if the hops have an underlying layer of honey. For a strong beer, it is easy drinking. It is in the aftertaste that I feel the bullet shoots me in the mouth. The powerful herbaceousness hangs on and on, not letting go even when it is served with spicy food.

Unique initial aroma suggests a touch of cinnamon. I don’t know if that is intentional, but it sure is an interesting start, followed with terrifically classic American hop character. The bigness of this beer is represented with deep supple malt flavors and mouthfeel: dare I say luscious? Malt balances the gorgeous hop characters that are orchestrated throughout the experience. The alcohol warms the soul, suggesting leisurely sipping and enjoyment. A very sensual beer, to say the least. This one is sure to make a lasting impression if you can get your hands on it.
