Reminiscent of fruitcake thanks to plum, fig and raisin and a peppery spice on the nose, plus the obvious booziness that comes with the style. Despite so much malt, it’s only medium-bodied, making it dangerously drinkable. We found a spiced root beer and banana bread sweetness and depth as the beer lingered. With a dry and complex finish, this is a bottle to pop for that special occasion.
