Danny Boy Beer Works Launches Black IPA Year-Round

By Win Bassett - January 9, 2013

CARMEL, IN– Danny Boy Beer Works, An Irish-American inspired beer brand in the Midwest, launched its Danny Boy Black this past week making it a staple in their offering of styles.

Once only a seasonal, Danny Black is an interestingly hoppy, dark brown almost black IPA that is brewed with centennial and citra hops. It will now be offered year-round. The brew is inspired by the great IPA acceptance and further desire for dark brown, porter, and stout beers with hoppy undertones.

Brewed to just more than 6 percent ABV and served in a traditional Irish tulip pint glass, the Danny Boy Beers offer to the craft market a nicely robust flavor of craft brews for the session able sports pub crowd.  This is a perfect complement to their Training Day Hop forward Pale Ale.

Availability: January

Style: Black IPA

Malts: Pale, Caramel, Carafe

Hops: Centennial, Citra

ABV: 6.5%

IBU: 77

Pairings: Food/ Burgers, spicy chicken and stews, fish offerings; Dark Pubs and Sports

About Danny Boy Beer Works:

founded in 2011, Danny Boy Beer Works is Carmel, Indiana’s first brewery. Currently operating as a commercial nano-brewery and expanding production/ distribution to 5,000 kegs annually in 2013 Danny Boy will continue to provide highly session oriented craft beers inspired by Detroit’s Cork Town, Chicago’s Southwest, and Boston’s Southie regions of America to culturally applicable pubs and taverns. Bringing the tough historic and patriotic attitude to its beer and offerings. Danny Boy is excited to offer Wicked*Awesome*Beers!
