The story combines real facts about the Northern Pacific Railroad, the Moxee Company, the first 14 families, mostly French, with two fictitious families, the Chanteurs and Santos. A photo chronicle of hop production is in the book along with explanations of the early days of the hop harvest. Lots of drama between the French and the Hispanic families. The book is selling like hot cakes with the hop-French families around Yakima, WA. Check my website for more info. Would like to do a feature story about the book for your magazine. Tom Sauve, Growers Supply, is on the cover. I’m the author of a new book titled: Lords of the Moxee Valley which includes the Moxee hop industry – 70% of hops in the US are grown in the Moxee Valley.
