I can buy a 12 pack of Newcastle for $11.99 making the keg almost twice as expensive as buying the beer in bottles. Definitely not worth it. The beer coming out of the keg is tastes no different from the bottled version. Now if the keg used nitrogen instead of C02 we'd have something. But unfortunately, the C02 makes it just as over-carbonated as any beer sold in the US. The mini-keg costs $22 and its 5 liter size is equivalent to 14 12oz bottles.
