The latest Beervana podcast dives into Jeff Alworth’s latest book, “The Secrets of Master Brewers.” The book illuminates some of the processes and quirks employed by brewers across the globe, with an emphasis on classic beer styles and the techniques required to brew them. 

Before getting into the book, though, Alworth explains how he accidentally stepped into the world of beer writing and has never looked back.

Jeff Alworth is the author of the The Beer Bible and Cider Made Simple. You can find him blogging at Beervana. Patrick Emerson is a professor of economics at Oregon State University as well as a research fellow at the Center for Applied Microeconomic Research at the São Paulo School of Economics (C-Micro).
